In my opinion the best norwegian release of 2015.

Eyes on the mountains! Eyes on the mountains!
My mild sinophilia compelled me to seek out Chinese representations of the genres I listen to. One of these was Howie Lee, who half a year later released this album. It's everything I hoped it would be.

木屮山出 meshes samples of what I only assume is traditional Chinese instrumentation with electronic beats. The result does not feel kitschy or stagnant at all. On the contrary, it's fresh and full of artistic value.

I can't think of a better project in norwegian hip-hop. It's just so consistent. Two of my favorite artists from their respective categories prior to its conception, I was overjoyed when I heard about their collab.

Interesting concept, even though it's hard to follow it through to the end product. Either way it sounds great. At times incredibly catchy.

This EP is just so damn catchy while maintaining the 70s proginess it sounds like it tries to emulate. I suspect they really succeeded at what they endeavored to do.

I followed johnny_ripper's career under the moniker for the last few releases, this isn't his best imo, but it speaks for his consistency and creativity like his others. Also my favorite track from this is really the "if" remix, but it got pulled iirc.
