i first found gareth coker through the ori ost, and it was an amazing experience to go from that to this and hear the electronic touches here delivering an ost that's every bit as atmospheric as ori's symphonies were emotional. the atmosphere of this album seriously can't be overstated; it's foreboding, it's tense, it's heavy, and most of all, it's compelling. these tracks are leaning slightly towards the longer side, and make expert use of every second.

End of The World End of The World
laur's sound is unrivaled in sheer scale and power, and while this might not be quite as adventurous as his newer albums, there's still an insane amount of diversity here. dozens of masterfully executed hardcore styles mashed side by side and seamlessly blended with grandiose choir and orchestral elements. every sound in here is wildly intense, but for me nothing beats the razing kick alongside the violin and trumpet in end of the world.

hands down the most gorgeous chiptune album ive come across. gentle tones with a strong identity that are extremely easy to get lost in. compelling, but never overbearing. mellow, but never ignoreable. it's like looking out at a beautiful expanse from the comfort of a familiar home.true shame this is the only album here😭

    BLACK LAMBO BLACK LAMBO
unmatched in its aggression, this is darksynth shredded and blasted out to the point it's barely still darksynth. the way i always describe this stuff is, where you might say most music "bops" or "slaps", the only word for lazerpunk is that it fucking RENDS.
