play track I by OLDE

This will very likely be in my top 10 albums of the year - high quality sludge with massive hooks, thunderous drums, mile thick bass, and chaotic in-your-face vocals, reminiscent of Pro-Pain. Immediate riff satisfaction.

play album vol. 1 by Gale

Punishing brutality across the board. One of the more exciting albums I've heard this year - twisting jagged riffs with that sense of heavy melody ala Yob. Gale, hats off to you, this is bloody awesome.

play track Witchthroat Serpent by Witchthroat Serpent

Hypnotic beats, evil riffs - the sound is instantly familiar and instantly addictive. Influences are clearly worn on the sleeve, but Witchthroat Serpent have stepped up to the plate and breath new life into a sound. Excellent stuff indeed.

play album Void Mother by Obscure Sphinx

Superb metal band. I love his experimentation, his instrumental work, as well as the voice... amazing eclectic sound. Great job!!!

play album The Ties That Blind by Mouth of the Architect

If you like the post-metal and do not know this album, don't listen to anything else, listen to this work now. A masterpiece, no doubt.

play album v2.0 by GoGo Penguin

GoGo Penguin reminds me of the more experimental sound of the band of Esbjörn, but with a modern vision of jazz fusion, and a pop sound with syncopated rhythms. I look forward to more experimental evolution in their next release. Possibly the best band of the new jazz scene.
